What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a customer service, patient support, or billing role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on building trust and rapport with patients and professional partners.

- A solid understanding of medical billing procedures, healthcare insurance, and, ideally, Medicare programs and guidelines.
- Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to quickly learn new software.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for patients transitioning to Medicare, guiding them through a detailed process to collect required information and forms.
- Communicate complex Medicare topics clearly and simply, providing education and assistance to help patients understand their new coverage.
- Manage a high volume of phone and email communication with both patients and military treatment facilities, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor while being persistent in securing necessary information.
- Investigate and resolve Medicare claim denials, meticulously preparing and submitting redetermination paperwork.
- Maintain an exceptional level of attention to detail and follow-through, ensuring every step of the process is completed accurately and on time according to our comprehensive checklist and standard operating procedures.
- Work collaboratively with a small, close-knit team, contributing ideas to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Assist with other billing department tasks as needed to support team goals.
