Responsibilities
- Proactively manage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts, making routine collection calls and sending correspondence to collect on past-due invoices.
- Maintain and analyze the accounts receivable aging report using Microsoft Excel to track delinquent accounts, forecast cash flow, and prioritize collection activities.
- Accurately post and apply customer payments from various sources (checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards) to the correct accounts.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short payments, and customer billing inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Generate and send out customer invoices and monthly statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets in Excel for tracking collection efforts, payment plans, and reconciliation purposes.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures by preparing A/R-related journal entries and reconciling sub-ledger to the general ledger.
