This position will replace a long-time employee and work for an awesome Vice President. This position will play a key role in the firm's strategic vision to redefine how consumers experience their products through innovation, value-added applications. This position will shape their product portfolio and serve as a key driver of creativity, technical excellence, and cross-functional leadership. The ideal candidate will bring thought leadership to help build, communicate, and execute a strategic R&D vision, engaging cross-functional teams and executive leadership. Responsibilities

• Monitor culinary and industry trends to position the company as a leader in fresh food innovation.
• Lead development of innovative, value-added products with culinary and consumer relevance.
• Build and manage a strategic innovation pipeline aligned with long-term growth goals.
• Integrate consumer research and sensory evaluation into stage-gated product development processes.
• Use data-driven decision making to validate concepts and guide R&D priorities.
• Lead cross-functional projects from concept to commercialization, coordinating with procurement, packaging, quality assurance, operations, and sales.
• Ensure technical feasibility, ingredient functionality, and compliance with food safety and quality standards through internal collaboration. Ensure compliance regulatory, and labeling standards.
• Work with operations to ensure seamless commercialization and scale-up of new products.
• Promote sustainability and clean label initiatives as appropriate.
• Act as a thought leader and spokesperson for food technology and culinary innovation with key customers.
• Represent the company externally, communicating how consumers use our products and identifying new opportunities.
• Participate in trade shows, customer demos, and industry events to highlight innovation.
