Responsibilities
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure all company practices adhere to federal, state (Texas), and local employment laws
- Serve as the primary point of contact for complex employee relations issues, providing fair, thorough, and timely investigation and resolution.
- Design, implement, and manage a robust performance review system, including goal setting, disciplinary action, and performance improvement plans
- Develop and manage competitive compensation and pay grade structures across all roles (office staff, sales, and field crews) to attract and retain top talent in the remodeling sector.
- Administer and communicate all employee benefits programs (health, 401k, PTO, etc.) and conduct annual renewals.
- Identify company-wide and department-specific training needs, particularly for supervisory and leadership skills, and develop/deliver effective training programs.
- Manage the employee onboarding process to ensure a positive and compliant introduction.
- 5-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with significant time spent in a management or leadership capacity.
- Expert-level proficiency and hands-on administrative experience with the Paycom HRIS system is required.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and Texas state employment law and best practices for risk mitigation.
