Responsibilities
The Junior Accountant will primarily focus on Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) duties, including:
- P2P Cycle Management: Execute the end-to-end processing of vendor invoices, ensuring proper three-way matching (invoice, purchase order, and receiving report/receipt of goods) and General Ledger (GL) coding of expenses. This includes vouchering invoices and processing timely disbursements via various methods (e.g., ACH, wire transfers).
- O2C Cycle Support: Prepare and issue customer invoices for machinery, parts, and services, collaborating with Sales/Service to verify billing determinants and ensuring accurate revenue recognition. This also encompasses reviewing data for machine billing accuracy.
- Inventory & ERP Functions: Accurately book receipts of goods and update perpetual inventory records within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Reconciliation & Compliance: Perform periodic account reconciliations for both AP and AR sub-ledgers to the General Ledger, promptly investigating and resolving all discrepancies and aged items. Ensure strict compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Master Data Management: Create and maintain vendor and customer master data (e.g., new dealer/end-user setups).
- Financial Reporting & Month-End Close: Support month-end and year-end close procedures, including preparing accruals and generating AP/AR activity reports for management review.
