Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Forecasting and Reporting: Drive the firm's planning cycle by developing, refining, and maintaining advanced forecasting models in Excel to project financial outcomes.
- Performance Insight: Deliver and explain periodic (monthly, quarterly, and annual) financial results and future projections to senior leadership and executive teams.
- Variance Explanation: Conduct detailed comparative analysis to quantify and explain fluctuations in the Profit & Loss (P&L) statements across different reporting periods.
Business Strategy & Improvement
- Strategic Analysis: Uncover and evaluate significant financial opportunities and potential risks that could impact the business's performance.
- Operational Review: Review internal workflows to pinpoint and suggest enhancements to existing procedures and processes.
- Revenue Deep Dive: Conduct in-depth examination of sales figures and market trends, breaking down performance by specific products and retail channels.
Support & Close Activities
- Financial Administration: Provide direct support for the completion of the organization's monthly financial closing cycle.
- Cross-Functional Support: Execute specialized, quick-turnaround analysis and projects (ad hoc) requested by the Sales and Finance departments.
