Responsibilities
Compliance & Risk Management
- Policy/Legal Expertise: Draft, update, and communicate the Employee Handbook and all HR policies to ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Proactively track new and changing labor legislation, advising management on required organizational adjustments to maintain legal compliance.
- HR Audits/Reporting: Conduct routine internal audits to mitigate legal risks. Prepare and submit all mandated government reports.
- Compliance Training: Develop and deliver essential training sessions for all staff and managers on topics like anti-harassment, anti-discrimination, and ethical conduct.
- Investigations: Lead and conduct thorough, unbiased investigations into serious employee relations issues, including allegations of harassment, discrimination, and misconduct.
- Grievance Resolution: Serve as a neutral mediator to receive, document, and resolve employee complaints and workplace disputes fairly and consistently..
- Liaison/Support: Act as the primary resource for employees and management to interpret HR policies, company procedures, and resolve day-to-day conflicts.
