We're looking for a skilled B2B Collections Specialist to join one of our growing clients' accounting departments and become a critical link in their revenue cycle. salary: $20 - $22 per hour

Responsibilities

• Collections Management:
  
  
  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices.
    
    
  • Contact customers via phone and email to follow up on past-due accounts, identify reasons for non-payment, and negotiate payment arrangements.
    
    
  • Document all collection activities and customer interactions accurately and thoroughly in the accounting or collections system.
    
    
• Issue Resolution:
  
  
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Customer Service, and Billing departments to resolve disputes, short-pays, and billing discrepancies promptly.
    
    
  • Analyze customer payment trends and financial data to assess risk and proactively address potential collection issues.
    
    
• Process and Reporting:
  
  
  • Prepare and issue statements of accounts and letters as required.
    
    
  • Report on collections activity, accounts receivable aging, and high-risk accounts to management on a regular basis.
    
    
  • Recommend accounts for external collections or write-off when internal efforts have been exhausted.
    
    
• Compliance & Customer Service:
  
  
  • Ensure all collection activities comply with relevant federal, state, and local laws and company policies.
    
    
  • Maintain a professional and customer-centric approach, fostering relationships that encourage prompt payment.
