Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and dispatch drivers and carriers for inbound and outbound freight, optimizing routes to maximize efficiency and fleet utilization.
- Utilize GPS and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to monitor driver locations, traffic conditions, and delivery progress in real time.
- Identify and address potential delays caused by weather, traffic, or mechanical issues, making rapid route adjustments and communicating changes to drivers and customers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing clear instructions, support, and resources to resolve issues encountered on the road.
- Provide accurate and timely updates to customers regarding shipment status and estimated times of arrival (ETAs).
- Professionally manage and resolve customer service issues or delivery complaints related to transportation services.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Warehouse, and Maintenance departments to ensure seamless operations.
