Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage the year-end audit process and serve as the main point of contact for external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Oversee the preparation of the corporate annual budget and forecasts.
- Manage and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA license is strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role.
- Experience in the private equity or investment management industry is a plus.
- Proven knowledge of all aspects of accounting, including GAAP and financial reporting.
- strong experience with accounting software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Nice to Have
- Experience with acquisitions and post-merger integration.
- Familiarity with multi-currency accounting and transactions.
