This Investment Accounting Operations Analyst role is made for the Excel skilled (experience working with vlookups and pivot tables), problem solving, researching, number crunching, and relationship building professional.  The Investment Accounting Operations Analyst will be responsible for identifying, researching, and clearing unidentified and unapplied cash.  You will be analyzing, researching, inquiring, interacting, requesting, documenting, and reporting daily in the Investment Accounting Operations Analyst position.  The training will be onsite for the first 2-3 weeks.  After you are in a groove, you can transition to working from home, and 6 days a month onsite.

Responsibilities

• Immerse into a tight-knit, high-functioning, positive, Broker-Dealer Accounting Team of 4 within a Fortune 500 Global Leading Company
• Monitor, analyze, research, and clear unapplied or unidentified cash
• Follow up on changes to the broker of record with providers
• Apply fees and other fee payments in internal system
• Maintain and update the internal system of record of client information (carrier contact, clients name, client code or short name, account #, policy # and other identifying information)
• Generate revenue reporting
• Investigating missing commissions
• Liaise with various internal stakeholders to identify and correct any reconciliation issues between internal systems
• Reconcile bank receipts to cash postings 
• Prepare journal entries
• Respond to Audit Requests from FINRA, SEC, D&T, AML, and Internal Audit
• Utilize advanced Excel skills and Access skills to manipulate large amounts of data
• Utilize your exceptional customer care skills 
• Partner with stakeholders, team members, and managers to ensure best practices and efficiencies are in place
• Create and maintain exceptional business relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients
