Our client is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our client's finance team. This critical role involves managing the daily financial operations, including the full cycle of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, executing and verifying payroll, and accurately posting journal entries to the General Ledger. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing regular account reconciliations, assisting with the month-end close process, and ensuring all financial activities comply with GAAP standards. Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Process Financial Transactions: Handle the full cycle of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including processing invoices, payments, and receipts.
  
  
• Manage Payroll: Oversee and process company payroll accurately and on time, including related tax and benefit entries.
  
  
• Maintain the General Ledger (GL): Record journal entries and other transactions to ensure the General Ledger is accurate and complete.
  
  
• Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, credit cards, and GL accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  
  
• Assist with Closing and Audits: Support the accounting team during the month-end/year-end close process and assist in preparing for internal and external audits.
  
  
• Ensure Compliance: Maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  
  
• Reporting: Generate routine financial reports and analyses for management review.
