Join our healthcare team in Cartersville, GA, as a Patient Financial Counselor to ensure a smooth financial experience for every patient. This vital role requires a current Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification and involves comprehensive financial coordination. You'll be responsible for verifying insurance, explaining complex benefits and out-of-pocket costs, and collecting estimated financial responsibilities at the earliest possible control point. We are seeking a highly motivated professional who can consistently meet productivity standards while providing compassionate and expert financial guidance. This will be a temporary position that may extend into a permanent opportunity. The working hours will be 8am - 4:30p Mon-Thur; Fri 7:30a -3p.

Responsibilities

• Collect estimated financial responsibility for current services and any outstanding guarantor balances at the earliest possible control point.
• Verify insurance coverage and benefits.
• Determine potential eligibility for financial assistance programs (e.g., Medicaid).
• Complete financial evaluation forms to document guarantors' income, expenses, assets, and liabilities
• Maintain a list of health care financial assistance programs and their eligibility requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and legal regulations by accurately assisting with financial documentation and maintaining meticulous records.
• Partner with billing, enabling services, and care coordination to optimize financial workflows and promote patient satisfaction by promptly addressing and resolving billing concerns.
• Develop and present detailed cost estimates for medical procedures, guiding patients through payment plan setup and financial aid application processes.
• Conduct thorough financial assessments to establish patient eligibility for various assistance options, including Medicaid, charity programs, and government subsidies.
