Responsibilities
This role will support recruiting and retention efforts, employee relations, policy management and will ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws and regulations is maintained. This role is responsible for promoting a work environment that exemplifies the companies mission and core values, and support leadership's goals to hire, engage, develop, and retain top talent.
- Assist with employee engagement activities, recognition programs and employee contributions
- Coach managers, supervisors, and employees in dealing with employee relations issues; conduct investigations and provide guidance and suggestions on possible resolutions
- Responsible for administering/interpreting company policies and procedures and assisting HR leadership in employment issues, labor law and employment law compliance-related investigations and policy creation
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Acts as a primary or back-up for healthcare benefits, leaves of absence, unemployment compensation and workers’ compensation administration
- Working knowledge of employee healthcare benefits, leaves of absence, workers’ compensation and unemployment compensation is required
- 5 years + exp required
- Understanding of federal, (multi) state and (multi) local employment/labor laws and regulations
- Degree in HR, Business or other related field is preferred
