The Opportunity
We're seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our successful operations team. This role is a vital step in career progression, supporting our Project Managers and Superintendents on complex, multi-million dollar high-rise projects. You'll gain hands-on experience and direct mentorship within a firm known for its robust 5-6 year project pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
The APM will be deeply involved in all project phases, focusing on administrative precision, field support, and technical coordination:
- Subcontractor Coordination: Assist PMs in buyout, contract execution, and managing the distribution of subcontract agreements and purchase orders.
- Own the RFI and Submittal processes, ensuring timely review, tracking, and distribution to the field and design team.
- Manage project costs, process invoices, track budget expenditures, and assist the PM with change order administration and monthly payment applications.
- Work with the Superintendent and PM to update short-term schedules, monitor field progress, and ensure timely material procurement and delivery.
- Organize and document all key project meetings (owner, subcontractor, internal) and maintain accurate project records using management software.
- Support project closeout procedures, including managing punch lists, commissioning, and assembling Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in construction project engineering or field management, preferably with a General Contractor.
- Direct experience working on large-scale commercial, multi-family, or high-rise projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard software, including Project Management platforms (e.g., Procore, CMiC) and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project).
- Prior experience supporting projects over $$$50 Million.

- Team Communication: Organize and document all key project meetings (owner, subcontractor, internal) and maintain accurate project records using management software.
- Closeout: Support project closeout procedures, including managing punch lists, commissioning, and assembling Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
