We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Contract Staff Accountant to join our team during a critical data migration phase. This role is essential for maintaining seamless day-to-day accounting operations as we transition to a new system. This is a full-time, 4–6 month contract position requiring the candidate to be 100% onsite at our office. Responsibilities The Contract Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing core accounting functions to ensure accuracy and continuity of financial records during the data migration process. Key duties include:
-   Daily Accounting Operations: Process accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R), ensuring timely and accurate entry and reconciliation.
 
-   Journal Entries: Prepare and post routine journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and depreciation.
 
-   Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
 
-   Assist with Month-End: Provide support for the month-end closing process as directed.
 
-   Data Integrity: Assist the core accounting team with validating data integrity between the old and new systems during migration testing
 
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Technical Proficiency: strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with general ledger software.
