You will be responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial data.

This role has a critical focus on our unique inventory, tracking it from cultivation and production through to retail. You will also assist with complex COGS calculations and play a vital part in supporting our 280E tax compliance

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end close procedures, including preparing and recording journal entries, accruals, and period-end adjustments.
  
  
• Perform comprehensive reconciliations for key general ledger accounts (Cash, Inventory, A/P, A/R, Payroll, Intercompany).
  
  
• Manage and reconcile complex, multi-stage inventory across cultivation, production, and retail operations.
  
  
• Calculate monthly Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), incorporating change-in-inventory adjustments and detailed labor allocations.
  
  
• Ensure 280E tax compliance by meticulously classifying costs and maintaining supporting documentation.
  
  
• Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including vendor invoice processing and A/P aging analysis; support accounts receivable collections.
  
  
• Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations and prepare cash management reports.
  
  
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, document accounting policies, and ensure audit readiness.
  
  
• Partner with operational teams to validate financial data and ensure the accuracy of accounting inputs.
  
  
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for external audits and special projects.
