We are currently seeking a friendly and organized individual to join our team as a Medical Front Desk Receptionist. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and multitasking skills, as well as the ability to handle a fast-paced work environment. Responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing phone calls, and maintaining patient records. Previous experience in an OBGYN medical office setting is required and Athena EMR experience ideal.  If you are interested in this position, please submit your resume for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors upon arrival for scheduled appointments.
• Manage all incoming patient calls, addressing inquiries and directing calls to appropriate clinical staff as needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patient check-in and communication.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to or upon arrival.
• Perform insurance eligibility transactions and effectively communicate the patient's financial responsibility (co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances) in clear, patient-friendly terms.
• Collect and process co-payments and past due account balances at the time of service.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments for both new and established patients.
• Proactively manage and adjust provider schedules by contacting and rescheduling patients as necessary due to unforeseen changes or cancellations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and scheduling logs.
