The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager to lead our firm's daily operations and administrative framework. The ideal candidate will have a proven, hands-on track record in the operational management of a professional services business, with direct experience in the PEO, Payroll, or Accounting industries being highly preferred. This role reports directly to the Partners and is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency, optimizing staff utilization, and supporting the firm's overall strategic growth.
salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Operational & Infrastructure Management: Oversee all core non-client operations (IT, facilities, vendors, and procurement). Develop, implement, and rigorously enforce policies and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high service output across all business lines. Drive continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Financial Performance & Reporting: Manage the firm's operational budget, forecasts, and capital expenditure planning in close collaboration with the Partners. Monitor and analyze critical firm-wide KPIs, including productivity, service profitability, and staff utilization rates, using data to inform tactical decisions and control costs effectively.
- Human Resources & Firm Culture: Lead all internal HR functions, including talent acquisition, structured performance management, compensation/benefits administration, and staff development. Directly manage administrative support staff, ensuring optimal workload allocation and efficiency. Actively foster and reinforce a positive, high-performance, and client-centric organizational culture.
- Strategic Growth & Technology: Collaborate actively with the Partners to refine and execute the firm’s long-term strategic plan. Manage and continuously improve the internal technological ecosystem and systems (including specialized payroll/accounting platforms) to safeguard client data, enhance security, and scale service delivery capabilities. Act as the primary liaison between all departments.
