Key Responsibilities
- Tax Preparation & Planning:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and fiduciary entities.
- Conduct tax research and develop strategic tax planning recommendations to minimize client tax liabilities.
- Respond to tax notices and represent clients before tax authorities.

- Client Accounting Services:
- Perform and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and closing procedures.
- Prepare accurate financial statements (e.g., compilations and reviews) in accordance with GAAP.
- Provide client consulting on internal controls, accounting software usage (e.g., QuickBooks), and business operations.
- Perform and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and closing procedures.
- Client Management:
- Build and maintain client relationships, serving as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
- Manage multiple client engagements concurrently, ensuring deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded.

Qualifications
- Certification: Active and unrestricted Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of recent, progressive experience in a Public Accounting firm, demonstrating proficiency in tax and accounting services.
- Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience with tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, CCH Axcess).
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

- Knowledge: Deep understanding of tax laws (federal and state) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
