Responsibilities
- Manage Financial Statement Audits: Lead the planning, execution, and completion of external financial statement audits for clients within the Health Industries (HI) sector (e.g., healthcare providers, life sciences, payers).
- Technical Authority: Apply and maintain expert-level working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, and PCAOB standards, specializing in technical accounting and financial reporting issues unique to the HI market.
- Quality Assurance: Assume responsibility for the detailed review and final quality assurance of team members' audit workpapers, ensuring all documentation fully supports the audit opinion and complies with firm and regulatory standards.
- Risk Management: Perform detailed risk assessments and design effective testing strategies for complex accounts and areas, particularly related to industry-specific risk factors.
- Lead Client Engagements: Serve as the primary daily contact for client management, ensuring effective, straightforward communication and managing project scope and timelines.
- Provide Business Insight: Use deep understanding of the HI market and client operations to provide relevant business advice and innovative solutions, going beyond core compliance to create value.
- Relationship Management: Proactively seek and act on client feedback, modify professional behavior to build quality relationships, and regularly communicate progress and updates to maintain transparency.
