A growing construction company in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is looking for a Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. In this role, you'll work in a high-volume environment and collaborate to process vendor invoices and corporate credit cards. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a full benefits package, bonus structure and extras like a phone allowance, flexibility for family appointments and a team environment.  Prior construction industry of Sage experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process Automation and Accuracy: Drive accurate invoice entry using the automated billing system, HH2, ensuring all key details (vendor, dates, amounts, coding) are correct.
• Payment Compliance & Control: Ensure payment integrity by matching invoices against critical waivers and lien releases before weekly AP runs are executed in Sage 300.
• Corporate Card Management: Handle the entire cycle for corporate credit cards including transaction review, coding, monthly reconciliation, and accurate system export.
• Vendor Relationship Management: Maintain positive external relationships by promptly addressing vendor inquiries and performing monthly account reconciliations.
• Administrative Support: Provide essential support to the AP department by scanning, filing payment remittances, and assisting with various other accounting functions.
