You will serve as the indispensable link between Syracuse Planning, Customer Service, and our local Operations team, coordinating daily processes with the Operations Manager, Supervisors, and Line Servers.
Core Responsibilities:
Streamlining Order Fulfillment
- Customer Liaison: Act as the central point of contact for Syracuse products, managing communication between Syracuse Planning and Customer Service.
- Escalation and Cancellation Management: Coordinate the internal response to customer escalations, ensuring reduced interruption to production while balancing priority requests. Handle order cancellations and provide clear, timely status updates.
- Process Optimization: Drive efficiency in order management by proactively identifying opportunities to batch like products together for streamlined assembly.
- Prioritization: Work closely with supervisors to determine and communicate the prioritization of assembly benches to meet critical deadlines.
Maintaining Material and Inventory Integrity
- Material Issue Communication: Provide immediate and accurate feedback to the Syracuse Planning team regarding material constraints. This includes reporting missing material and quality issues.
- Inventory Accuracy: Flag instances of incorrect inventory in Roanoke and potentially perform necessary cycle counts and inventory adjustments.
- BOM Resolution: Identify and report issues with the Bill of Materials (BOM), specifically noting items that are not backflushing correctly. You will engage planners and the sustaining engineering team to implement corrective action.
Performance and Improvement
- Metric Participation: Actively participate in Gemba walks focused on metrics related to the Syracuse product line, paying close attention to the Open Order Value ($) currently on the floor.
- Collaboration: Utilize your insight from the floor to support continuous improvement initiatives across fulfillment processes.
