salary: $24 - $27 per hour

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit electronic and paper claims to various payers, including commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and specialized transplant networks
• Manage and prioritize the accounts receivable (A/R) follow-up process, focusing on timely payment from third-party payers and patients
• Identify and resolve claim rejections, denials, and coding issues promptly
• Obtain and track all necessary pre-authorizations and referrals for transplant evaluations, surgeries, and ongoing care
• Review and verify all services provided by the transplant team
• Ensure all charges are accurately and timely entered into the billing system, adhering to strict deadlines
• Billing and follow-up processes for both hospital-based (HB) and physician-based (PB) services
• Compliance with payer requirements, accurate claim submission, and timely resolution of outstanding accounts
• Provide follow-up on aging accounts and ensure timely resolution of outstanding balances
