A client of ours is hiring for an experienced Staff Accountant in the Louisville downtown area.  They are seeking a highly motivated and detail orientated employee whom is familiar with managing general ledger functions, performing comprehensive account reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of our their financial reporting.  This position is a full-time permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

salary: $65,000 - $70,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
  
  
• Manage the general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries, performing month-end and year-end close procedures, and reconciling all accounts.
  
  
• Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process, providing analysis of variances and contributing to financial planning.
  
  
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, monitoring collections, and reconciling subsidiary ledgers.
  
  
• Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation, schedules, and explanations, and ensuring controls are maintained.
