Are you ready to use your dental billing experience in a collaborative, patient-focused environment? We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Dental Billing Specialist to join our established and thriving Mid-Sized dental practice. This administrative role is crucial to our financial health, ensuring accurate and efficient management of insurance claims and patient accounts.
Your Primary Mission:
- Claim Management: Manage the process of accurately assigning and verifying procedure codes (CDT codes) and submitting electronic claims to all primary and secondary insurance carriers.
- Revenue Management: Diligently manage the Accounts Receivable (A/R) ledger, accurately post insurance payments (EOBs) and patient payments, and follow up actively on delayed or denied claims.
- Patient Financial Support: Conduct patient benefit verification and manage pre-authorizations for major treatments, communicating financial responsibilities clearly to patients.
- REQUIRED: Minimum [1-2+] years of verifiable experience in dental billing and insurance claims processing.
- Familiarity with CDT, ICD-10 coding, and core dental terminology.
- Experience using dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental).
- professional organizational skills and an acute attention to detail.
- Professional communication skills for interacting with insurance carriers and resolving patient inquiries.
