With a focus on accuracy and compliance, they are looking to add a detail-oriented Medical Coder to their growing team. We are looking for more than just a "code-puncher." We are seeking a Certified Medical Coder who understands the nuances of anesthesia time units, modifiers, and concurrency. Responsibilities

• Anesthesia Coding Expertise: Accurately abstract and code anesthesia procedures using CPT, ASA (American Society of Anesthesiologists), and ICD-10 codes. Ensure correct application of time units, physical status modifiers, and qualifying circumstances.
• Clinical Documentation Review: Review anesthesia records for completeness and accuracy. Identify missing data elements or documentation gaps that could impact reimbursement or compliance.
• Provider Collaboration: Serve as a liaison to Anesthesia Practitioners, professionally communicating to clarify documentation, verify start/stop times, and resolve diagnosis queries.
• System Proficiency: Utilize the MedSuite platform to manage charge entry and coding workflows efficiently, ensuring seamless data transfer to the billing team.
• Compliance & Auditing: Stay current with changes in coding guidelines and third-party payer regulations. Assist with internal audits to minimize denial risk and maintain strict HIPAA compliance.
• Denial Prevention: Proactively analyze coding-related denials to identify trends and recommend educational opportunities for providers to improve first-pass acceptance rates.
