Responsibilities
- Operation: Safely and efficiently operate a forklift (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, etc.) to move materials, products, and equipment.
- Loading & Unloading: Load and unload trailers, delivery trucks, and containers; properly stage incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Inventory & Storage: Stack and organize materials in designated storage areas (racks, bays) according to inventory control procedures (FIFO, LIFO).
- Inspections: Perform daily pre-operation (OSHA compliant) and post-operation checks on the forklift and other equipment, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs immediately.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and established operating procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Documentation: Use RF scanners, WMS (Warehouse Management System), and/or physical documentation to accurately track inventory movement and location transfers.
