Responsibilities

Front desk Check-out role is responsible for the financial and administrative closure of the patient visit and for ensuring seamless continuity of care. This includes accurately collecting and posting all patient payments, such as co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances. The MA (front desk personnel) must efficiently schedule all necessary follow-up appointments, diagnostic tests, and specialist visits according to the provider's orders. A critical administrative duty is finalizing the encounter in the Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) system, and ensuring they clearly understand all care instructions, referral paperwork, and any necessary pre-authorization requirements for upcoming services. Must have excellent customer service skills. Plus if you speak Spanish.
