Randstad is seeking a Tax Manager to join the team of a mid-sized CPA firm established over 40 years ago. This leadership role is central to ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely completion of all client tax and accounting deliverables. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a full benefits package, manageable billable hour requirements during tax season and bonus structure.  Must haves:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation
• CPA preferred
• 7+ years of public accounting experience
• CCH Axcess software experience

salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year

work hours: 9 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Client Relationship Leadership: Serve as the primary contact for clients, cultivating strong professional relationships. Actively participate in client meetings and lead tax planning initiatives.
• Team Oversight & Delegation: Accept complete ownership for client tax returns and accounting work products, effectively assigning tasks to Tax and Senior Tax Professionals.
• Technical Review & Approval: Execute the final technical tax review and approval for all tax returns prepared by the team
• Tax Authority Representation: Manage governmental tax audits and officially represent clients before various tax authorities.
• Practice Development: Oversee the financial management of engagements, including creating budgets, estimating fees, handling billing, and managing collections. 
• Mentorship & Growth: Grow into greater leadership capacities and actively foster the professional development of junior staff members.
