We are partnering with an established, successful Tampa Bay construction company known for delivering complex and large-scale commercial and industrial projects. They are seeking a meticulous and seasoned Billing Specialist to take ownership of their project invoicing and accounts receivable cycle.
The Role & Requirements:
- Expert in AIA Billing: This is a core requirement. You must have deep, verifiable experience preparing, reviewing, and submitting all AIA Documents G702 and G703 (Application for Payment and Schedule of Values).
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of dedicated Billing/A/R experience specifically within the Construction Industry is essential.
- Key Duties: Managing full-cycle project billing (T&M, fixed-price, cost-plus), processing complex retainage, handling change orders, and ensuring compliance with contract terms.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with construction-specific accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Procore, etc.).
- Hybrid Schedule: The client offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, balancing in-office collaboration with remote productivity.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Full-Cycle Project Billing: Execute complex billing processes for multiple, simultaneous construction projects, including time-and-materials, fixed-price, and cost-plus contracts.
- AIA Management: Prepare, review, and submit all AIA documents (G702/G703) accurately and on schedule, working closely with Project Managers and clients.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure all billing practices adhere to contract terms, state regulations, and internal financial policies.
- Accounts Receivable: Monitor outstanding invoices, manage collections effectively, and resolve billing disputes promptly to maintain strong client relationships.
- Lien & Waiver Documentation: Handle all necessary lien waivers and releases associated with project payments.
