We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Accounting Reconciliation Specialist for a contract-to-hire position. This is a critical, high-volume role focused on ensuring financial data integrity and accuracy.
Core Focus Your primary responsibility is to serve as the control point for transactional data processed by an external team.
- Financial Correction & Reconciliation: Review, correct, and reconcile a high volume of transactions, ensuring accurate data flow.
- GL & P&L Resolution: Investigate and correct all discrepancies found in the General Ledger (GL) and P&L statements.
- Journal Entries: Prepare and process necessary correcting journal entries (JEs).
- Inter-Company Expertise: Apply strong fund accounting knowledge, specifically for inter-company transactions.
- Team Support: Must be a reliable Team Player to manage high volume and provide coverage.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
- Experience: strong GL knowledge and expertise in fund accounting (inter-company).
- Preferred: Property Management accounting experience (Residential/Commercial, NOT HOA).

Responsibilities

- Financial Data Correction & Reconciliation: Meticulously review, correct, and reconcile a high volume of transactions and tickets processed by the external accounting team.
- GL & P&L Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and correct all discrepancies found within the General Ledger (GL) and P&L statements.
- Journal Entry Processing: Prepare, process, and post necessary correcting journal entries (JEs) with supporting documentation.
- Inter-Company Expertise: Apply strong fund accounting knowledge to specifically reconcile and correct complex inter-company transactions.
- Team Support: Efficiently manage high volume, provide coverage for teammates, and operate as a highly organized, cross-functional team player.
