Position Summary As an Underwriting Assistant within the Commercial Lines division, you will be responsible for calculating risk premiums and managing the issuance of policies. You will utilize a variety of automated tools, manual rating methods, and Microsoft Excel to process transactions. Responsibilities
- Rating & Issuance: Determine premiums for 1–3 lines of business using both automated systems and manual rating methods.
- Transaction Management: Process new business, renewals, quotes, endorsements, cancellations, and rewrites for small to middle-market business regions.
- Collaboration: Partner with Commercial Lines Underwriters to ensure timely and accurate product delivery to customers.
- Analysis: Interpret issuance instructions from Underwriters and act as a resource for high-priority rushes or complex errors.
- Service & Support: Provide support to agents and insured parties, resolving inquiries and errors professionally.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current on compliance issues, procedural updates, and system workflow changes.
