Responsibilities
Strategic Support
Legal Research & Drafting: Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare formal memoranda and legal documentation for attorney review.
Outside Counsel Coordination: Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for external legal teams to ensure project alignment and progress.
Corporate & Intellectual Property
IP Management: Calendar, prepare, and execute routine trademark filings and maintenance.
Regulatory Liaison: Act as a professional liaison with the TABC and internal licensing departments on routine and recurring matters.
Library Administration: Oversee the opening and maintenance of legal files and serve as the law librarian to ensure all legal volumes remain current.
Immigration & Global Mobility
Case Management: Prepare and file nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions (e.g., H-1B, L-1, PERM, I-140) and manage the end-to-end visa sponsorship process.
Research: Conduct in-depth research on shifting immigration policies to ensure organizational compliance.
Compliance & Audit: Maintain organized immigration files, ensuring all documentation meets strict federal audit and confidentiality standards.
Employee Relations & Labor Compliance
Policy Drafting: Assist in drafting workplace policies, employee handbooks, and settlement agreements.
Statutory Monitoring: Monitor compliance with labor statutes including FMLA, ADA, and FLSA.
Agency Liaison: Act as a professional point of contact for the Department of Labor and other regulatory agencies.
