In this position, you will be the bridge between patient care and financial sustainability. We need someone who understands the complexities of ICD-10 coding and insurance denials, but who also possesses the empathy and negotiation skills to work effectively with patients. salary: $22 - $26 per hour

Responsibilities
- Claim Resolution: Identify and resolve non-payment trends, focusing on aged accounts receivable ($A/R$).
- Payer Liaison: Communicate with insurance carriers to overturn denied claims and process appeals.
- Patient Negotiation: Reach out to patients to establish payment plans and collect outstanding co-pays or balances.
- Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of all collection efforts and insurance correspondence.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
- Industry Expertise: strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Medical Billing Software (e.g., Epic, eClinicalWorks, or NextGen).
- Communication: Ability to handle difficult conversations with empathy and professionalism.
- Analytical Thinking: A "detective mindset" to find out why a claim was denied and how to fix it.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in medical collections or billing.
