Responsibilities
Junior Estimator or Quoting Coordinator
- Are you detail-oriented, good with numbers, and curious about how heavy machinery is built? We are looking for a Junior Technical Estimator to join our production office. We will provide full training on how to interpret blueprints and calculate costs for custom hydraulic and mechanical tube assemblies. This is a perfect "foot-in-the-door" opportunity for someone who wants to start a career in technical sales or manufacturing engineering.
- We are looking for someone with a "mechanical brain"—someone who might not know hydraulic specs yet but can read a ruler, understands basic geometry, and is eager to learn how things are built.
- Learn the Specs: Undergo training to identify different types of metal tubing and hydraulic fittings (the parts that make machines move).
- Data Entry: Accurately input customer requirements and measurements into our quoting software.
- Blueprint Support: Assist estimators in "taking off" measurements from technical drawings.
- Vendor Outreach: Call suppliers to get current pricing on raw materials like steel or aluminum.
- Order Tracking: Follow up with customers to see if they have questions on pending quotes.
- Quality Check: Ensure that all quotes meet our "leak-free" standards by double-checking math and part numbers before they are sent.
