Role Overview Join a high-volume consumer lending team responsible for the end-to-end review of loan and credit card applications. You will analyze creditworthiness, verify complex income structures, and ensure compliance with federal regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwriting: Evaluate consumer loan and credit card applications using established risk policies.
- Income Analysis: Perform deep-dives into tax returns and income docs, specifically for self-employed borrowers.
- Credit Assessment: Analyze credit reports and history to determine borrower risk.
- Documentation: Prepare loan request papers and ensure all transactions are complete and accurate.
- Collaboration: Use Slack, Outlook, and Click-to-Chat for real-time communication with internal stakeholders to clarify data and explain decisions.
- 2+ years of underwriting experience.
- Analytical Prowess: Ability to interpret complex credit scores and financial data.
- Tax Knowledge: Proficiency in verifying income via tax returns.
- Compliance: Familiarity with lending regulations and industry standards.
- Onsite: Must be able to work daily at the Phoenix campus.
