Job Requirements & Responsibilities
- Core Accounting: Handle AP (20% of role), AR, and billing processes/imports.
- Financial Reporting: Perform month-end close processes (10% of role) and ensure books are closed by Day 7 of the cycle.
- Invoicing: Manage heavy invoicing and billing, which constitutes approximately 70% of the daily workload.
- Analysis: Conduct high-level variance analysis and revenue reporting, specifically investigating fluctuations in revenue.
- Audit Support: Assist with upcoming audits and work toward consolidating finances into a single book.
- Systems: Daily use of QuickBooks Online and internal management systems.
- Education: A college degree is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel for billing and invoicing.
- Experience: Proven experience in a "Staff Accountant" capacity with a focus on both AP and strategic financial support.
- Location: Must be based in Dallas, TX to meet local requirements, even though the role is currently remote.
- Mindset: Extreme attention to detail and a proactive, "step up" attitude.
- Start Date: Immediate need; resumes are being reviewed now.
- Next Steps: An initial meeting or interview is targeted for Friday morning.
- Future Projects: Support for a new ERP implementation is scheduled for April 2025.
