We are actively seeking an Patient Account Representative to join a growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate would have experience in medical billing, excellent communication ranging from written and verbal, accurate 10-key by touch, and attention to detail. Responsibilities

• Refund Processing: Analyze guarantor and various payer types (Medicare, Medicaid, Champus, Federal, etc.) to identify and determine refund eligibility.
  
  
• Credit Balance Management: Review and resolve assigned credit reports in strict accordance with compliance guidelines and written procedures.
  
  
• Documentation & Validation: Assemble necessary supporting documentation for refunds and submit to senior leadership for final approval.
  
  
• Inquiry Handling: Manage telephone and written correspondence regarding overprovisions, credit balances, and payment discrepancies.
  
  
• Payer Communication: Proactively contact insurance carriers and guarantors to resolve issues related to credit balances, offsets, and unidentified payments.
  
  
• Research & Resolution: Investigate unidentified payments and offsets to ensure accurate application of funds.
  
  
• Performance Tracking: Maintain sign-off logs to document monthly goal completion and ensure ongoing compliance.
  
  
• Quality Control: Identify and report recurring errors or systemic issues that hinder correct account processing.
  
  
• Process Maintenance: Uphold all organizational policies and procedures; escalate unusual refund or offset circumstances to the Supervisor.
  
  
• Administrative Support: Execute additional duties as directed by management to support departmental goals.
