Responsibilities
1. Data Integrity & Compliance Auditing
- Conduct regular "triple-match" audits between HRIS, Payroll, and Vendor systems to ensure data synchronization.
- Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies in eligibility, coverage tiers, and premium deductions.
- Serve as a safeguard for compliance, ensuring all plan activities align with ERISA, ACA, and COBRA regulations.
- Act as the team’s Excel power-user, utilizing XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and Pivot Tables to perform large-scale data reconciliations.
- Build and maintain spreadsheets with conditional formatting and data validation to "catch" errors before they impact payroll.
- Assist leadership with financial modeling for benefits cost projections and annual budgeting cycles.
- Manage the benefits ticketing queue, providing clear, empathetic, and timely responses to employee inquiries.
- Resolve complex issues regarding billing discrepancies and coverage disputes by liaising with external insurance carriers.
- Analyze ticket trends to identify "pain points" and recommend process improvements to reduce recurring issues.
