A client of ours in the legal field located in Lexington, Kentucky is seeking a Construction Legal Assistant to join their team. The Litigation Legal Assistant serves as the operational backbone for the Construction Service Group, providing a blend of high-level administrative support and substantive litigation assistance. This role requires a professional who can navigate complex legal documentation, manage diverse project lifecycles, and maintain seamless communication between attorneys, clients, and courts.  This position is a full-time permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and benefits package. 

salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Oversee the lifecycle of litigation cases and large-scale projects, ensuring meticulous organization, retrieval, and production of documents.
• Draft and finalize a variety of legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, contracts, and trial binders specifically tailored for the Construction Service Group.
• Assemble and manage evidentiary materials, including preparing and indexing exhibits for depositions and court proceedings.
• Support attorneys by conducting preliminary case research and verifying citations and footnotes for accuracy.
• Utilize litigation support software to ensure the systematic indexing, filing, and digital organization of all legal records.
• Facilitate the monthly billing and invoicing process by tracking attorney time entries and coordinating directly with the accounting department.
• Handle day-to-day operational tasks, including maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, and managing routine correspondence to ensure the office runs efficiently.
• Represent the firm with professionalism while communicating case updates and coordinating appointments with clients and third parties.
