The Role As the primary point of contact for our production operators, you will oversee daily plant activities and delegate assignments to ensure customer orders are fulfilled safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Floor Leadership: Conduct hourly walkthroughs to maintain high performance and lead daily handover/"GO" meetings.
- Team Development: Lead, coach, and develop team members. You’ll be involved in hiring, training, and performance management.
- Safety & Quality: Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team and enforce strict 5S and safety standards through regular audits.
- Operational Excellence: Use Lean Manufacturing principles (Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis) to minimize costs and resolve production bottlenecks.
- Reporting: Manage shift paperwork, including downtime reports and productivity metrics.
- Experience: At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Skills: strong problem-solving abilities and proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software.
- Flexibility: Ability to cover all shifts (including midnights and evenings).
- Physical Ability: Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 35 lbs.
