- Manage the full-cycle AP process: from invoice coding and department approvals to weekly check runs and electronic payments.
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendor relations, resolving discrepancies, and managing 1099 reporting.
- Audit employee expense reports for policy compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain the General Ledger by preparing and posting monthly journal entries.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations (e.g., prepaid expenses, accruals).
- Assist in the month-end close process to ensure all financial data is captured and reported within deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L).
- Analyze variances between actual spend and budgeted amounts in AP categories.
- Provide supporting documentation and schedules for annual audits or tax filings.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience, specifically handling full-cycle AP and assisting with month-end procedures.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with accounting ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Core Competencies: Extreme attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate professionally with both vendors and internal leadership.
