Accounting Department Lead (Full-Charge Bookkeeper) Location: Lantana, FL (On-site) Pay Range: $30.00 – $35.00 / hour Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent The Role We are a premier, family-owned produce operation in Lantana seeking a Department Lead to build and professionalize our finance office. This is a "ground-floor" opportunity for an architect who wants to manage day-to-day books while designing the systems that allow our business to scale. Key Responsibilities

• Department Architecture: Design and document standardized accounting procedures (SOPs) for a growing operation.
• ERP Mastery: Act as the lead user for Famous (Oracle) software, managing inventory costing and data integrity.
• Full-Cycle Accounting: Execute all AP/AR functions, including 3-way matching and high-volume collections.
• Compliance & Risk: Oversee Lien Logs and Notice to Owner (NTO) filings; manage 1099s and audit preparation.
• Cash Flow Strategy: Monitor daily cash positions and provide weekly financial snapshots to ownership.
• Liaison: Serve as the professional link (English/Spanish) between management, field staff, and vendors.

Requirements

• Experience: 7+ years of Full-Charge Bookkeeping, preferably in Produce, Agriculture, or Logistics.
• Technical: Proficiency in QuickBooks and experience with ERP systems (Famous, SAP, or Oracle).
• Language: fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• Mindset: Self-starter who prefers to "write the manual" rather than follow one. You understand the fast-paced nature of the produce industry.
