Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Plant Superintendent is responsible for scheduling and overseeing the daily operations of our Concord facility. Your mission is to ensure we meet customer delivery expectations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, product quality, and process efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8–10 years in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the paper industry or a related industrial setting.
- Education: Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Leadership: Proven ability to supervise diverse teams with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and a solid understanding of manufacturing workflows.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, outstanding organizational abilities, and excellent written/oral communication.
- Adaptability: Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment and a willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Manage, direct, and control all activities for manufacturing personnel to achieve optimal product delivery and quality.
- Production Scheduling: Oversee all production activities and communicate schedules and lead times to the customer service team.
- Talent Management: Act as the primary contact for hiring direct labor, maintaining cross-training matrices, and working with area managers to conduct performance evaluations.
- Performance Tracking: Take ownership of the overall quality and cost performance for every product unit produced.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead site-wide initiatives including LEAN, RCFA, RCM, and ISO standards to drive efficiency.
- Project Oversight: Manage assigned capital projects and ensure industry standards (SPI) are strictly met.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Visit customer sites as needed by the Sales group and collaborate with other facilities to facilitate plant efficiency.
- Leadership: Proven ability to supervise diverse teams with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
