Responsibilities
Grant & Revenue Management
- Compliance & Tracking: Oversee the recording of grant-funded services within accounting systems and maintain meticulous supporting documentation.
- Financial Modeling: Maintain and reconcile grant management models to the General Ledger for audit and reporting purposes.
- Reimbursement Lifecycle: Evaluate contract terms for reimbursement eligibility and submit timely requests to grantors based on approved budgets.
- Audit Support: Assist with program audits, budget revisions, and the preparation of new grant applications.
- Accounts Receivable: Monitor fee-for-service revenue, resolving any discrepancies and ensuring accurate general ledger entry.
- Journal Entries: Process biweekly payroll entries and execute monthly closing entries.
- Subledger Management: Post activity from payables, receivables, and donor gifts to the General Ledger.
- Asset & Expense Tracking: Manage accounting for fixed asset depreciation, prepaid expenses, restricted assets, and investment account activity.
- Reconciliations: Perform assigned account reconciliations for CFO review.
- Financial Packages: Support the CFO in preparing monthly financial statements and departmental budget-versus-actual reports.
- Process Improvement: Document internal desk procedures and cross-train with departmental staff to ensure operational continuity.
