Position Summary We are seeking an analytical Direct Material Buyer to manage purchasing activities, develop suppliers and intercompany feeder plants, and execute savings projects. You will ensure material supply continuity to minimize inventory stock-outs and revenue impacts.

Key Responsibilities * Planning & Execution: Analyze MRP demand to replenish stocks and place POs/STOs to suppliers and feeder plants on time.

• System Management: Ensure accurate receipts and data integrity within SAP.
  
  
• Production Support: Attend daily production meetings, execute exception messages, and communicate shortage risks to Planning and Production.
  
  
• Supplier Performance: Monitor vendor on-time delivery (OTD) and resolve delivery, pricing, or invoicing discrepancies.
  
  
• Optimization: Lead projects to reduce inventory levels and manage excess/obsolete items.
  
  
• Problem Solving: Analyze Line of Balance (LOB) for vendor issues and escalate concerns via proper channels.
  
  

Qualifications * Education: Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years of experience in a purchasing/planning role.

• Experience: Direct buyer background in manufacturing (metal-mechanic, refrigeration, electronics, or HVAC preferred).
  
  
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MRP and knowledge of SAP.
  
  
• Competencies: negotiation, analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
  
  
• Language: Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

The Buyer should be able to develop suppliers and intercompany plants (feeders), execute savings projects, assure that an adequate supplier is assigned to each purchased item and support expediting processes with suppliers to assure that direct material is supplied in a proper time and that it will meet the delivery dates to minimize the risk of an inventory stock-out or revenue impact. May also be required to support in other supplier related activities such as quality escalations, ISO requirements, internal projects and engineering changes related to purchased items.
