We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Estimator to join a growing team. This position supports the estimating department in preparing competitive project bids and coordinating documentation throughout the bidding process. It’s a great opportunity for someone looking to build or grow their career within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze construction drawings and specifications to assist with quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Support the preparation and assembly of bid proposals, ensuring all project details are accurately reflected.
• Keep bid documentation organized, monitor revisions and addendums, and confirm estimates are prepared using the latest drawing sets.
• Enter takeoff quantities into estimating software or Excel to help develop accurate project budgets.
• Assist the estimating team with coordination and administrative support to meet submission deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints is required
- Experience with construction documents or estimating processes preferred
- Comfortable working with Excel and estimating software
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
