Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Source and negotiate pricing for tools, parts, and equipment to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Cultivate strong professional relationships with vendors through regular communication and follow-up.
- Execute and organize negotiated contracts under the direction of management.
- Maintain a highly organized tool crib, structuring the layout for maximum operational efficiency.
- Monitor stock levels and identify obsolete materials, coordinating with the Production Manager for proper disposal.
- Physically receive incoming shipments and verify accuracy against purchase orders.
- Manage the full lifecycle of purchase orders within our ERP system (Infor), ensuring data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Partner with the Accounting department to reconcile discrepancies and finalize month-end reporting.
- Track critical orders and provide real-time updates to production personnel.
- Balance inventory levels against production schedules to prevent shortages without overstocking.
- Identify and propose cost-saving initiatives to leadership to improve the bottom line.
