Key Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma).
- New Product Integration: Collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure "Design for Manufacturability" (DFM) and transition new products from prototype to full-scale production.
- Equipment Management: Specify, install, and maintain production machinery.
- Quality Control: Troubleshoot production issues and implement root-cause corrective actions to minimize scrap and rework.
- Technical Documentation: Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and tooling requirements.
- Experience & Education: A minimum of 5 years of combined experience in a manufacturing environment and/or a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or a related technical field).
- Technical Proficiency: Understanding of CAD/CAM software and manufacturing ERP systems.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex data sets to drive process improvements.
- Communication: Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both shop-floor operators and executive leadership.
- Laser Programming: Direct experience programming and operating industrial lasers (CO2, Fiber, or YAG) for cutting, welding, or marking.
- Automation: Knowledge of PLC programming or robotic integration.
